COAL POWER PLANT PERFORMANCE TESTING
These performance testing codes apply to any coal power plant size. Both are used to measure the performance of a coal power plant in its normal operating condition, with all equipment in clean and fully functional condition. These can apply for CFBB, Pulverized Coal, Sub-Critical, Critical and Supercritical Boilers.
They are used as a reference in a coal power plant performance test. A site-specific performance test procedure needs to be developed to account for all the particular aspects of each power plant.
Parameters such as test uncertainty and the instrumentation to use come from a guideline specified in the testing codes and they will be adapted depending on the particular site conditions.
