Coal Power Plant Performance Testing

Coal power plant performance services for power generation companies and EPC contractors around the world. Experience in all coal generation technologies (Subcritrical, Critical, Ultra-Super Critirical, CFBB, Pulverized Coal, Biomass and more)

Testing and instrumentation services worldwide. 24/7  availability.

Our services comply with the ASME PERFORMANCE TESTING CODES applicable for evaluating the performance of coal power plants.

TESTING PURPOSE

The first step of a successful performance evaluation is to carefully define the testing scope.

Turbo Efficiency team will work with you to define the scope, technical & contractual requirements for evaluating your power plant performance.

TYPES OF
PERFORMANCE TEST

Regardless the purpose of your performance evaluation, we can help you to conduct an impartial and accurate test.

Measure the performance of your plant and validate the power contractual performance guarantees. Conduct the evaluation based on the technical and contractual specifications of the project.

Periodically measure your plant performance and compare it to the LTSA performance guarantees or the periodic evaluations requested by the grid operator (dispatch)

Find how to improve your power plant efficiency and output.

COMPLIANCE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL TESTING CODES

COAL POWER PLANT
PERFORMANCE TESTING CODES

The power plant performance testing codes from standardization entities such as ASME, ISO and others guide you  to conduct an accurate and repeatable performance evaluation.

LIST OF THE MAIN CODES FOR
COAL POWER PLANT PERFORMANCE TESTING

These performance testing codes apply to any coal power plant size. Both are used to measure the performance of a coal power plant in its normal operating condition, with all equipment in clean and fully functional condition. These can apply for CFBB, Pulverized Coal, Sub-Critical, Critical and Supercritical Boilers.

They are used as a reference in a coal power plant performance test. A site-specific performance test procedure needs to be developed to account for all the particular aspects of each power plant.

Parameters such as test uncertainty and the instrumentation to use come from a guideline specified in the testing codes and they will be adapted depending on the particular site conditions.
